Introduction to Mobile Learning Systems and Usability Factors

Number of people using mobile phones has been increased in a tremendous way when compared to personal computers. With advancements in wireless and mobile technologies, learning using mobile phones is a new way of approach towards education. Using this system we can provide the learner’s all the probable materials like lectures, videos related to the course work. Mobile learning is unique in its own way offering learning anywhere, anytime. Also mobile learning enables learners reach to the course work and things of their interest just one click away. In this paper, we introduce a new approach towards mobile technology, usability factors that should be considered in detail, the infrastructure to be considered for this type of system, and the prototype for applying this application. The study is mainly related to implementation of mobile learning and usability testing methods for the application developed.
